Intense Pulsed Light Therapy – PhotoFacial
We have been using intense pulsed light for more than eight years and have seen some wonderful results besides the primary target, which is the reduction of small blood vessels. We recommend a series of 5 treatments. This approach was initially advanced by Dr. David Bitters. We started with his protocol and since have enhanced the original light device. Dr. Ghaffari, a prominent physicist, who works in tandem with the University of Texas in Austin, developed a dynamic cooling device. This now allows us to provide much higher energy for treatment and extra safety. We can deliver more power than most new systems commercially available with less discomfort.
Fillers
The results with fillers are very technique dependent. Remember it is not just what filler you are using but who is injecting. Dr. Beck has been injecting fillers since the mid 80s and is currently using Radiesse for deep lines and Restylane for moderate to superficial lines and to plump lips. We can now inject these less painfully with the application of a strong topical anesthetic prior to injection and also the addition of some anesthetic to the filler itself. The addition of anesthesia to the filling agent allows us to go back and fill in small areas with much less discomfort.
